The last few weeks have been a whirlwind. Between work and side jobs, I feel like I’ve been going non-stop, and this week I can’t wait to go home to Savannah for some quality R&R at my parents’ house. Wimbledon and Naps – Here I come.
One of those side jobs is for a benefit dinner hosted by Napa Cafe benefiting the Soulsville Foundation – A Heart Full of Soul. They needed some food photography donated and my dear friend Lou thought that I would be great for the job – thanks, Lou! I will save the photos until later – but here is a sample shot I took.
Napa Cafe together with Frederick Wildman & Sons, The Wine Market, and Chocistry will host dinners on August 19 and 20. What makes this event stand out is that each course is not only paired with wine, but also paired with a song from the Stax catalouge and will be performed live by Soulsville Academy students.
How could I resist being a part of this cool event by donating my photography services? Thursday night was our first round of photos, and we met at the Stax Museum for the backdrop for Chocistry’s amazing chocolates. Then, we hopped on over to Wine Market to highlight the wines for the dinner.
All in all amazing way to spend a Thursday night. Can’t wait to shoot the rest of the food for the program.
